NEW! Create Your Own World – Ages 7-16

Create Your Own WorldDates: Thursdays, 4:00-5:30pm

In this class you will learn how to create your own comic characters, bring them to life with speed lines and action and how to create your own world, city and landscapes, space or whichever world your imagination might come up with. Media: pencils, inker, colored pencils, markers, watercolors, soft pastels.

Star Kids Productions Presents: Cinderella KIDS - Ages 5-7Star Kids Productions

This creative exploration class is perfect for outgoing youngsters who love to sing, dance, and act! This introduction into musical theatre give young kids a chance to experience a full production process of musical theatre.

We make this fun and easy, especially for those students who are trying out theatre for the first time.

Star Kids Productions Presents: The Little Mermaid - Ages 8-17

Pre-ballet and Tap – Ages 3-4

Location: Eagle Room of Ray Miller Community Center
Instructor: Petaluma School of Ballet Staff

Children will learn basic ballet movement. They will dance and pretend as they act out stories using dance movement. We use a variety of music to enhance musical rhythms by clapping and listening, using stretching and improvisation while having lots of fun. Let us share our love of dance with your youngster. Clothing Requirement: Girls: pink leotard (short sleeved, no attached skirts), pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black patent tap shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, socks and black ballet slippers and black tap shoes.

Clothing Requirement: Girls: lavender leotard (short sleeved, no attached skirts), pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Boys: White t-shirt, black shorts, socks and black ballet slippers.

We'll get your whole body moving with low-impact, easy-to-follow steps set to international dance music. Zumba Gold is a fun cardio workout that also incorporates toning and balance. Please wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing.

Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art. This class will study basic and flowing exercises with the wooden sword (bokken) and 5 foot staff (Jo). The Founder's desire that Aikido teach harmonious blending rather than conflict is emphasized in this class. We will explore the body movement consistent with empty-handed aikido. All skill levels are welcome. No uniform or dogi is required. The instructor, Pete Breeland, with over 30 years of experience with Aiki buki-waza (Aiki weapons techniques), is ranked at 5th dan. Need to do some shopping or just need a little rest and relaxation without the children? Maybe even a night out? While you enjoy an evening out or in, your child(ren) will have dinner, play games, make arts & crafts, and see a movie. All activities are provided by trained and experienced City Staff. Sibling discounts available.

NEW! Camp Cotati Spring Break Camp – Ages 5-12

Dates: April 2-6, 2018, M-F 7:30am-6:00pm
Fee: $125/week, $35/day drop in
Location: Thomas Page Room of Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street (behind City Hall) Let your children experience the magic of Camp Cotati! Each day will include different games, crafts, and outdoor play (weather permitting). Please send your child with a lunch and snacks each day.

Manga & Pokemon – Ages 6-16

Dates: June 11-15, 2018, M-F 9:00am-12:00pm

Location: Stony Point Room of Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street (behind City Hall) Learn how to create your own Pokemon and Manga and how to draw your favorite characters. Media: Pencils, watercolor pencils, inker, markers, soft pastels.

From Storyboard to Comic Strip – Ages 8-16

Dates: June 18-22, 2018, M-F 9:00am-12:00pm
Fee: $200/week
Location: Stony Point Room of Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street (behind City Hall) In this camp you will create your own comic characters and their world. Learn how to write a story, draw a storyboard and transform it into a short cartoon. Media: pencil, inker, colored pencils, markers.

3D Trick Art – Ages 8-16

Dates: July 9-13, 2018, M-F 9:00am-12:00pm
Fee: $200/week
Location: Stony Point Room of Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street (behind City Hall) We will create some really cool trick art which creates the illusion of 3D art, leaping off your paper. Media: pencils, graphite pencils, colored pencils, markers.

Fantasy Landscapes and Creatures – Ages 6-16

Location: Stony Point Room of Ray Miller Community Center, 216 East School Street (behind City Hall) let's draw dragons, gnomes, fairies and elves, unicorns or other fantasy creatures you can think of. We will also create fantastic landscapes for your creatures. Media: pencils, chalk pastels, inkers, markers, watercolor pencils.


Skyhawks Mini-Hawk Camp (Soccer, Baseball, Flag Football) – Ages 4-7

June 4-8, 9:00am-12:00pm
Resident Fee: $135.00
Location: Civic Center Park – near Cator Field
Instructor: Skyhawks Sports Staff
Skyhawks multi-sport programs are tailored to your child's age and skill level while teaching life lessons such as respect and teamwork. Mini-Hawk® programs give children age 4-7 years a fun and positive first step into Soccer, Baseball, and Flag Football. Participants will receive a soccer ball, Skyhawks T-Shirt, and merit award at the conclusion of camp.

Skyhawks Lacrosse Camp – Ages 6-12

June 25-29, 9:00am-12:00pm
Resident Fee: $135.00,
Location: Civic Center Park – near Cator Field
Instructor: Skyhawks Sports Staff
Lacrosse combines basic skills used in soccer, basketball and hockey into one fast-paced game. Athletes will learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment. Sticks, Gloves and Helmet are provided. All participants receive a t-shirt, and a player evaluation. Participant-to-coach ratio is 12:1

Skyhawks Multi-Sport Camp (Soccer, Baseball, Flag Football) – Ages 6-12

Special Events

NEW! Sweethearts Fairytale Dance

Date: Saturday, February 10, 2018
Time: 5:30-8:00pm
Fee: $30/couple + $10 each additional child (max 2 children per chaperone)
Location: Cotati Room, 216 East School Street, behind City Hall
Come dance the night away to fun music, make arts and crafts, and enjoy light refreshments. Dress up in your fanciest dress or suit and create wonderful memories that will last. This magical event is for children (ages 3-12) and their favorite adult chaperone. There are no gender requirements. Must purchase tickets in advance.

Holiday Tree Lighting

Date: Friday, December 7, 2018
Time: 4pm-8pm
Fee: FREE!
Location: La Plaza Park
Come join us for our Annual Holiday Tree Lighting in La Plaza Park! This year, we will also be adding food and craft vendors, starting at 4:00pm. The night will be full of music, free coffee, hot cocoa, and cookies, and more! There will be crafts for the children, story time, entertainment, and "special" guests! Come join us for a fun filled, magical holiday evening!

Breakfast with Santa

Date: Saturday, December 15, 2018
Times: 9:00am & 10:30am
Fee: $12 per person over age 2 (Children 2 and under are free)
Location: Cotati Room (next to Police Department)
Come join Santa and his elves for a yummy breakfast of eggs, sausage, & pancakes! Finish it off with delicious coffee and hot cocoa. Each child will also have the opportunity to do arts & crafts, and will receive a gift from the Mr. Claus before they leave. This is sure to be a fun family event and a great way to celebrate the holiday season.

This year, we will be offering two breakfast times. Please indicate which time you'd like to attend when you register. Choose which time you would like to have breakfast and then use the rest of the time to visit with Santa and make crafts with the elves.
